Foster Availability Form
Here at Alaska SPCA, we house our animals awaiting their forever homes at our shelter location. However, we sometimes find ourselves in circumstances where we need help from volunteer fosters like you! If you are interested in potentially fostering as need arises, we invite you to fill out this form. It is entirely possible (and indeed, hopeful) that your services will not be required, but when we find ourselves with a dog or cat that needs a better temporary situation it can be such a relief to have some go-to volunteers to contact.
At the time of fostering, further details can be discussed regarding the specifics of your and the animal's circumstances. Vet visits, meet-and-greets with potential adopters, and regular check-ins with us can be expected although specifics will vary depending on the animal's condition and needs. When fostering animals for us, please rest assured that needed supplies and care are our responsibility. Any medical care and vaccinations will be taken care of at our clinic at our expense, not yours. Any supplies you may need will also be supplied by us including: food, treats, medications, puppy pads, kitty litter, formula, bedding, toys, and catnip. Please be advised that the Alaska SPCA does access Courtview at our discretion in order to ensure the safety of our pets.
